Steph was the Managing Director of West Yorkshire Theatre Network from 2009-2016. As well as honing her own acting, teaching and directing skills during that time, she brought internationally recognised performers and teachers to Leeds to train local actors. She also ran performance platforms, arts and music festivals, managed spaces and supported and connected thousands of artists in the region and beyond. This year she made the big decision to disband WYTN and focus on being a teacher and practitioner, and thus Both Feet was formed.
Steph has worked in a wide range of theatres across the country from London to Edinburgh as a performer, Venue Technician, Stage Manager, Assistant Director and Director since 2005.
Steph trained in the Meisner Technique under Scott Williams (The Impulse Company) and Keith Farquhar (Moment to Moment) and previously taught the technique through WYTN.
Recent directing credits include Laura Wade's Colder Than Here and Sue Townsend's Ten Tiny Fingers, Nine Tiny Toes (Director), and Parallel by Black Toffee (Assistant Director),

About the Acting Class
We are delighted to welcome Stephanie Morgan of Both Feet Acting Training to
join us over the weekend of 12th & 13th May for an Intensive Introduction to Meisner.

In her own words “Whilst we believe every actor would benefit from training in The Meisner Technique you’ll also find it lies comfortably with (and often enhances) most other training you’ve done or are currently practicing.”

Class sizes are deliberately kept small so you receive focused learning and
individualised attention. Over the two days you'll gain a great insight into the technique
introducing you to Meisner's first few exercises including the beginnings of Meisner’s famous
repetition exercise. You'll have new tools to take away with you and take your first steps
towards what Meisner calls ‘living truthfully’.

There are only 8 spaces on this course - just 3 remaining
so please enquire soon to avoid disappointment.

This Course is most suitable for Actors with some experience of working
professionally to ensure the group work to the same standard.

Cost will be £75 pp - payable in advance (by 13th April) to secure your place.
Payment accepted via BACS, pingit and payM - please message for details.
"I discovered (and fell in love with) The Meisner Technique at the same time as training in Neuro Linguistic Programming which fuelled my fascination of people and their behaviour. What draws me to this teaching practice is that its not about delving into your past in order to connect with your character, it's about taking your attention away from you and your inner critic and putting it elsewhere. It's genius yet simple. The fabulous teacher Scott Williams will always be held in my heart for introducing me and training me in this work. I hope you come to try it out, every actor should."
